At checkout, the cashier is supposed to ask if you have your Balance Rewards card, or prompt you to use your phone number attached to the card (or sign up for a card). I was not asked, but filled in my phone number on the prompt at checkout. When I got back to the car, I noticed that I did not get points for the purchase.
I went back into the store and saw a pharmacy technician, and asked her about the prompt and the points. She was considerate and thorough, and addressed the issue immediately. I am appreciative, and very thankful for her help.
I usually dread getting Rx's filled. This includes this specific Walgreen's Pharmacy. This was a busy time of day, and I had a new RX in addition to the one I had pre-ordered. So we wait.
